George Quincy ist geboren und aufgewachsen in McAlester, Oklahoma und ist ein Nachkomme der Choctaw . Er studierte und unterrichtete an der Juilliard School . Er wurde Musical Berater Martha Grahams und komponieren Musik für Theater, Tanz, Film, Oper, Fernsehen und für den Konzertsaal.

Er sagte:
"Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass diese Darstellung von einer renommierten Native American Heldin zum Teil eine Reaktion auf deren romantisierende Idealisierung in anderen Darstellungen ist, besonders der Disney Interpretation im Jahr 1995.
Es ist für uns wichtig die tatsächlichen Umstände zu wissen über die Persönlichkeit Pocahontas. Es gibt so viel Desinformation und Unwahrheiten über das Leben einiger unserer prominenten Persönlichkeiten. "

George Quincy is a Native American composer of considerable background and now you’ve caught my attention

He says:
"I am quite certain that this portrayal of a renowned Native American heroine is partly in response to the Romanticized ideal presented in other portrayals, most specifically the Disney rendition released in 1995. It is important for us to know the actual circumstances surrounding a personality like Pocahontas since there is so much misinformation and outright untruths surrounding the lives of some of our more prominent personalities."
